How to view and delete download history in Mozilla Firefox

In the process of browsing the web, sometimes we have the need to download certain types of files and data to the computer. That’s why Mozilla Firefox offers you a separate section to manage the data you’ve downloaded to your device. This article will show you how to view and delete data download history in Mozilla Firefox browser on computer with just a few simple clicks.

View and delete download history in Firefox

First, launch the Firefox browser on your PC. In any Edge window that opens, press Ctrl + J (Command + J with Mac) on the keyboard. Or you can also click the 3 stacked horizontal lines button in the upper right corner of the window to open the system menu and select the item “Downloads” (Download).

For example, the small folder icon can be clicked next to any item to access the current corresponding location of the downloaded file. To remove a downloaded file from the Download history list, simply right-click the file’s category in the list and select “Remove From History“(Delete from history) in the menu that appears. Note that this will not delete the corresponding download file stored locally on your computer.

In case you want to delete the entire download history on the browser, click on the button “Clear Downloads“(Delete downloaded files) on the toolbar at the top of the screen.

(Note: Deleting download history will not delete or affect the actual files you have downloaded. The files will still be stored on your computer, in the location you selected. If you want to delete them, you will need to find their location and delete them manually).

Click on “Clear Downloads”

After clicking “Clear Downloads”, your download history on Firefox will disappear and you can close the Library window.
