Microsoft has repeatedly mentioned that they are trying to make Edge a platform with its own mark, in order to get out of Chrome’s too big shadow. Over the past few months, we have seen the birth of many new utilities added to Edge with the aim of giving users a more distinctive experience. Includes shopping features, Word-like Quotes tool, Office integration, Math Solver… And now a brand new game manager.
Specifically, as discovered by Redditor u/Leopeva64-2, Edge Canary has suddenly added an interface toggle switch through which users can add a button titled Games on their toolbar. Edge, just to the right of the address bar.
Clicking this Games button will present you with a sub-window, which lists the full list of games (most titles from MSN Games) that are currently available. They are divided into various categories like Microsoft classic, Arcade, Board & Cards, Puzzle, Sports, Casual etc. Users just need to click on any game to launch it directly in the browser and experience experience now.
Of course, it’s still quite early to say if Microsoft will definitely release this useful feature to Edge users on the Stable channel. However, the appearance on Edge Canary also indicates that this is part of Microsoft’s roadmap to roll out the new feature.
This is generally an interesting feature that not all browsers have. TipsMake.com will update when there is no latest news, please pay attention to follow.
