From now on, customers can use Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more than 40 other cryptocurrencies to book rooms at Pavilion’s chain of hotels and resorts.
The Pavilion hotel chain recently announced that it is accepting cryptocurrency payments for bookings to enhance the customer experience.
This makes Pavilion the first hotel chain in the world to accept cryptocurrency.
“Personalizing the customer experience is at the heart of Pavilion’s operations. We will combine payment with high security to give customers peace of mind,” said Pavilion brand owner.
Specifically, the hotel chain partnered with UK-based CoinDirect to provide a secure, convenient and easy portal for making crypto payments from anywhere in the world.
“We provide a global secure payment platform with over 40 cryptocurrencies. Travelers have the option to pay in their own cryptocurrency based on the currency and location at the time of booking,” said CoinDirect CEO Jesse Hemson-Struthers.
Pavilion believes this move will drive technological advancements and digital growth in the travel industry, while, at the same time, changing the meaning of luxury and increasing the personalized experience for customers.
