Samsung has just had a perfect momentum ahead of CES 2022 by launching the world’s first 4K gaming monitor, supporting the world’s 240Hz refresh rate, called Odyssey Neo G8. Besides the large resolution and extremely high refresh rate, the modern curved design promises to make this monitor model a perfect choice in the high-end gaming accessory segment.
In terms of specifications, the Odyssey Neo G8 owns a 32-inch quantum mini LED panel, with a curved design (1000R curvature) and 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160). Accompanying that is the ability to support a 240Hz refresh rate, as well as a response rate of only 1ms. Samsung says its Mini LED backlight system uses micro-lights that are only 1/40th the size of conventional LEDs.
Thanks to the exclusive Samsung Quantum HDR 2000 technology, this monitor is able to deliver an impressive peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. In addition, the Odyssey Neo G8’s panel also supports a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 to help optimize detail for all displayed images.
